VLP Week 15 (4/24/2026).

Hello everyone, this is now week 15 of my internship with UCF’s Veterans Legacy Program. Well folks, this is it, this will be my last post for my internship, while my time at VLP is far from over, this internship is. It feels weird rather strange to be writing this, as it feels like it is the end, but really the only thing that’s going to be changing is I won’t be doing this blog, well that and I’ll be getting paid which is probably the more significant change. It has been an incredible experience working with VLP over this semester, I feel like that speaks for itself given that I decided to continue working for them. I’ve learned so much over my time here and I’ve gotten the chance to work with some incredible people as well, and overall I am incredibly excited to continue working for them. But enough of me gushing about working for the program, I think it’s time for me to tell you all what I’ve done this week one last time. I’ve been incredibly busy this week for two main r...

VLP week 14 (4/17/2026).

Hello everyone, this is now week 14 of my internship with UCF’s Veterans Legacy program. Well folks, this is the penultimate post for my blog, next week will be my last post. However, despite being so close to the end, these last two weeks have been and will continue to be very busy for me, as on top of finals there is plenty of work for me to do for VLP. So without further ado, let's discuss what I have been up to this last week. To start things off, the VLP project which has captured most of my attention recently has been the teacher workshop at University High School. On Monday I met with the other VLP members whom I will be doing the workshop with so we could coordinate what each of us will be doing, I will be presenting a lesson plan regarding changes in psychology regarding PTSD, as it is useful to show how VLP materials can be used for classes outside of history. The workshop will be this upcoming Tuesday and we will have another meeting this upcoming Monday and I’ll c...

VLP week 13 (4/10/2026)

Hello everyone, this is now week 13 of my internship with UCF’s Veterans Legacy Program. We are nearing the end folks, at least in terms of this blog, after this week's post there will only be 2 more. I feel like a broken record for saying this again but I am absolutely astounded with how quickly this year has gone by. Despite it being so close to the end it doesn’t feel like it for me, although that’s probably because I’ll be working with VLP over the summer, so in terms of that the only thing that will change will be me doing this blog. But without further ado, here is what has happened at VLP over this last week. As has been a trend over the past couple of weeks, much of what we have been doing at VLP has been in preparation for events over the summer. Again, I won’t talk about this much because I do not feel that it is within the scope of this blog, but one interesting thing I will bring up is one of the plans is for some VLP members to head over to San ...

VLP week 12 (4/3/2026).

Hello everyone, this is now week 12 of my internship with UCF’s Veterans Legacy Program. We are on the home strip folks, with it now being the start of April that means we have less than a month of this internship. I’ve said it numerous times in previous posts but it has been nothing short of astounding to me just how fast things the time has gone by with this semester. And with that it also means I will be very busy this last month because on top of everything with VLP I will also soon be hard at work on the final projects for the rest of my classes.  With all of this in mind I have very much been looking forward for summer when I get a chance to relax, and another thing I have to look forward too is while I haven’t talked about it because I feel it might have been out of scope for this blog, I have enjoyed my time with VLP so much that I have decided to stay and work with VLP over the summer. But enough about the future, here is what...
