VLP Week 15 (4/24/2026).

Hello everyone, this is now week 15 of my internship with UCF’s Veterans Legacy Program. Well folks, this is it, this will be my last post for my internship, while my time at VLP is far from over, this internship is. It feels weird rather strange to be writing this, as it feels like it is the end, but really the only thing that’s going to be changing is I won’t be doing this blog, well that and I’ll be getting paid which is probably the more significant change. It has been an incredible experience working with VLP over this semester, I feel like that speaks for itself given that I decided to continue working for them. I’ve learned so much over my time here and I’ve gotten the chance to work with some incredible people as well, and overall I am incredibly excited to continue working for them. But enough of me gushing about working for the program, I think it’s time for me to tell you all what I’ve done this week one last time.

I’ve been incredibly busy this week for two main reasons. One has obviously been VLP, the History Harvest event is a few weeks away and we’ve been busy preparing for that. But on top of that I’ve been very busy this week working on final projects for my courses. But in terms of what I did for VLP, I did a little work formatting bios for VLM, but the biggest thing I did this week was the teacher workshop at University High School. Like I mentioned in my last post, it was weird for me being back there as I did not think I would ever be back. It has been over three years since I last went there and when I got inside it looked pretty much exactly as I remembered, meaning it didn’t look good. However, it was still rather nostalgic for me, even more so as the room we presented in was a room I took a class in while I attended it. As for how the workshop went itself, I will say everything on our end went well. What I mean by that is we were able to set up fine and I feel the presentation went well, but as we learned from one of the teachers who attended our presentation, the workshop was held on the same day report card grades were due. As a result, only two teachers attended our presentation, so that was a little disappointing, but regardless it was a good professionalizing experience.

But that’s all I have for this week, it has been a pleasure writing for you all and I hope all of you have a good weekend.
